The Alabama Crimson Tide have been battled tested yearly in the 2010 college football season. The Crimson Tide fell behind Arkansas early and looked bad in doing so, however the Tide played four quarters of dominant football, starting in the second half of the Arkansas game and carrying over into first half of the Florida game, Alabama looked unbeatable.
In the South everyone wearing crimson has a confident disposition and attitude about the program in Tuscaloosa. The Tide's defense has emerged as an aggressive, hard hitting, opportunistic defense, with all the makings of a BCS Championship defense.
Dre Kirkpatrick has Deion Sanders like ability, offensive coordinators of the SEC should not forget about Dre when preparing to throw down field. Mobile, Alabama's own C.J. Mosley has stepped up big, as a freshman, for the Tide at linebacker, along with Dont'a Hightower Alabama's linebackers are strong.
Nick Saban has recruited his type of defensive players over the past three years. Coach Saban players at the program in Tuscaloosa now, are fast, hard hitting and can run many coverage schemes, thus enabling Alabama to run a pro-style defense in the SEC. Alabama's defense will confuse the best of quarterbacks, have receivers dropping passes and running backs running out of bounds.
Out West the Oregon Ducks are emerging as the second best team in the nation to Alabama. The Oregon Ducks put up points like a pinball machine, coming from behind last weekend to beat Standford 52-31, after falling behind 21-3 in the second quarter the Ducks exploded.
The Ducks have plenty of speed on offensive like Lamicheal James, he is the Ducks threat out of the back field. James can score from any where on the field, when he has the ball. Darron Thomas is the Ducks quarterback, he can run as well as he passes, Thomas will be trouble for every team he faces.
These two teams look to be headed to the desert valley of Glendale, Arizona for the BCS National Title Game. The college football nation is aware of this, thus putting a huge target on both their backs. However, the teams should head into their in state rivals games undefeated. Oregon State and Auburn will be the strongest competition either will face from here on out.
In the world of speculation. one could come to a logical conclusion, the Oregon Duck mascot would not be tired after the potential game from doing push-ups. As the sea of crimson red rolls through the Valley, the echoes of "Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer Give' em Hell Alabama" will be heard from southern bells wearing hounds-tooth hats as Phoenix gets introduced to true football tailgating Bama style.
