Football seems to be the only way i can get into college other then rotc and its the best game in the world so im putting all i have into it. This coming year will be my sophomore year. Last year i started on the jv team as a safety but i hyper extended my back and never got back to full speed or strength. I did track to lower my 40 and have been working on putting on muscle. Im almost 5'9 and weigh about 160 pounds. On a good sprint my 40 is a mid to low 4.7 ( 4.72 as my personal best) can bench about 185 (not very good but working on it) squat 305 power clean 165 and dead lift 325. Coaches aren't sure to move me to varsity and fight for a starting spot at safety, wing, and kick returner or stay on jv and test me at qb bc the jv coaches like my agility and want a mobile qb. I've been busting my ass to try to reach by senior goals of benching at least 250 squatting 450 and running a 4.6 or lower. i have pretty good hands, run somewhat crisp routes with good acceleration, can read qbs pretty good at safety and am a pretty fearless and solid hitter, I have pretty good open field vision. Im not wondering about like a texas or alabama but just want to know if i had a chance at a d3 or d2 football team. Also i have a 3.5 in honors if that helps getting into college.Im not gonna say im the greatest player in the world but i believe hard work and determination pays off. I just want some honest opinions so any and all are welcome. The doctors think ill stop growning in between 5'10 to 6'1 and i want to be atleast 180 to 190 by my senior year. I ment growing lol...
